Graph VR

Graph VR™ uses a 3D VR headset (purchased separately for about $30) to visualize 3D perspective surface and scatter graphs. With a VR headset, 3D data stands out and is much easier to interpret.

Launch Graph VR on your iPhone (iPhone 6s Plus is the best) and then insert the iPhone into your own 3D VR headset. Rotating from portrait to landscape transitions the display between a surface graph and a scatter graph. Moving your head left-right and up-down will rotate the graph accordingly. If the iPhone (or iPad) does not have a gyro then the graph is rotated uniformly.

The key to a good data visualization application is easy importing of data. For that purpose this applications Xcode project is at http://github.com/vvi and can be easily modified to show your own data. Within just a few minutes you can be viewing your own 3D data using your own Graph VR application without the need for tedious manual data importing.

The source code for this application is at:

This application has been tested with the VR SHINECON headset (purchased separately for about $30). Other headsets may be used for either iPad or iPhone based viewing however the parallax-related parameters may need to be adjusted accordingly.
